The Daylight Site is run and facilitated by VELUX A/S. We support research concerning the impact of daylight and windows on the visual environment and our well-being.
With the site we have created a forum where relevant material, tools and information on daylight can be accessed and shared - with specific focus on daylight quality - and the promotion of daylight-aware building design.
The VELUX Daylight Symposiums, held every second year since 2005, represent a vital part of the site with an overview over presentations, papers and articles. The symposiums are intended as an international daylight platform for exchange of knowledge, viewpoints and visions. The programmes provide continuous updates on the scientific progress in the field of daylighting as well as experiences and viewpoints from architectural practices.
The Daylight Site is part of the VELUX strategy to stimulate the growing Worldwide interest in daylighting through an ongoing dialogue among building professionals.
